Simply Sketched

I have been in
California visiting
son and family for almost a month.
Because you now pay for each
piece of luggage I was restricted
to how many supplies I could
bring with me.  Many of you
know I'm addicted to my Big
Shot ! However, I had to it leave
at home.  So I only bought a couple of ink pads and markers to work on cards to swap at convention next month.  I also brought the new hostess stamp set Simply Sketched.
This 6 piece stamp set is a must have. It has the bird and saying on the card you see along with two other sayings, Happy Birthday Wishes and Thanks so much.
Thyere are also two flowers in the 6 piece set.  I thought if I had the time I would stamp the images and color using my markers and blender pens. How to do that and get the shadowing ?  You put the ink from the marker on a non-porous surface such as an acrylic block or CD.  Then you can lift the color with the blender pen and adjust the color easily.  While in California I found out that we lost a another dear friend.  Thus, this stamp set was used to create the card you see.  The layering piece of cardstock is the new color, Baked Brown Sugar.  The images were stamped with Black Stazon and colored with Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding.
